About the event
Dive into our virtual workshop aimed at empowering nonprofit owners and entrepreneurs to find and successfully apply for at least two grants. You'll learn how to craft a compelling use of funds strategy, make your application shine, and gain direct contact information for funding sources.
The workshop will be led by DeShawna Jones, the CEO & Founder of DJ's Event Planning and CEO Workday Group, who has been awarded multiple grants from 2022 to 2024. In 2022, DeShawna received the COMCAST RISE Grant, which included a financial stipend, a desktop monitor, three Dell laptops, and three Apple iPads. The following year, she was granted $5,000 from the Baltimore Development Corporation for marketing materials for the CEO Workday Event. In 2024, DeShawna obtained a microgrant from Innovation Works, receiving $3,000 for the pilot of her new CEO Workday Program.
